FAQs
What can When Reset help me do?
See public reset news for Codex, Claude Code and Grok in one place. Check announcements, explore past resets and see when the next one is estimated, then plan your work with reminders and personal timers instead of repeatedly checking X.
How is the estimated reset date calculated?
Public announcements and statistical forecasts come from the API. Forecasts use historical precise intervals between valid confirmations across all three event types; insufficient samples mean no forecast. If the forecast date is before today in Beijing, the API returns today. The page never confirms events just because time passes. API actions describe manual verification or an elapsed plan; your account remains the authority for personal allowance.
Does a public reset mean my allowance is restored?
Check the products, plans and users covered by the original post. Public resets are separate from your account’s own five-hour, weekly or other usage windows; your personal reset time is the one shown in your account. Passing an estimated date does not confirm a reset occurred.
What is the difference between a quota reset and a reset credit?
A quota reset restores usage allowance; a reset credit is an entitlement you may need to redeem manually. An announcement does not confirm that you received it or that your allowance has recovered. Check the original post and your account for eligibility, redemption rules and expiry.
How do I set a countdown for my own reset?
Find an explicit reset time on the Codex usage page or in /status, in Claude Code’s /usage, or in your Grok limit message. Enter the date, time and time zone on the relevant platform page, keeping each usage window separate. Timers stay in this browser and do not read your account balance.
How can I get reminders without repeatedly checking X?
Open “Notify me” and choose an available email or Telegram channel for public updates. For personal timers, browser reminders require notification permission and the relevant platform page to stay open. A reminder means your saved time has arrived, not that an account reset was detected.
Why is there sometimes no estimate or no record?
The API provides no statistical forecast when samples are insufficient. A missing record means an event has not been included, not that no reset occurred. API unavailability and failed updates are shown separately. Personal timers still work.
